An afternoon visit to Budleigh Salterton on a chilly January day.

Happy New Year to everyone! All the best for 2012...

Thanks to those of you who ordered canvases over the Christmas period! I've now added a much wider choice of available sizes of canvas to order - including much larger sizes that have been available in the gallery or the Cosy Nook over the last year.

As ever, I hope to get out and take far more photos this coming year - lets see how I do!

In July I travelled to the beautiful Banff National Park in Canada. The scenary was simply stunning with 3000m snow capped peaks, amazing coloured lakes and waterfalls with permanent rainbows. Needless to say my camera went with me and this gallery shows some of the best pics.

The north Cornish headlands are coming out in a riot of colour with sea pinks, cow slips, blue bells, dandelions, and tiny pretty blue flowers that I've forgotten the name of! Here are some shots that I took last weekend:

The Cosy Nook Gallery in Crantock, where many of my photos are on display, is "gallery of the month" in the Cornwall Today county magazine.

A holiday in the Loire valley was a fantastic opportunity to take some photos (and taste lots of wine!). The weather was spectacular for the end of September with a few days above 28 C. I couldn't resist capturing the reflections at some of the châteaux, for example Château de Chenonceau.

This is a new version of my website - using a different hosting company. It is more flexible and should hopefully allow me to make changes easier and have more control over how my photos are displayed. But please bear with me, as I work everything out. Nick.

Today sees the opening of a new gallery at the Cosy Nook Tea Gardens and Restaurant in the village of Crantock, near Newquay.

The new gallery, called the "Wheelhouse gallery", exhibits the work of four local artists, including my prints. Each of us have very different art to display but all have the common theme of the sea and we hope that collectively they make for interesting viewing.

My photos are all displayed on the medium of modern canvas "wrap-around" type prints, with different sizes. In addition I am also selling greeting cards and small "mini-canvases" which are self-standing and so perfect for mantelpieces and windowsills.

On Sunday, 19th July, I joined Outdoor Photography magazine on a 'Readers Workshop' lead by Clive Minnitt and Phil Malpas at a beach in North Somerset for a sunset photography shoot. The resulting photos will be in the October 2009 edition of Outdoor Photography magazine.
